QUIZ NIGHT – Saturday 5th February. We must say a big thank you to everyone involved in making our quiz night the most successful yet.  These evenings really couldn’t take place without help from so many different people, particularly Paul and Sue Garland, everyone involved in catering and kitchen duties and Terry the school caretaker.  Of course we must also thank everyone who came along to support us too.  The hall was absolutely packed and we must apologise to anyone who went home a bit hungry, we hadn’t catered for such a huge number of people and the food had to be ‘stretched’ considerably!  The night made £810 which is quite remarkable!

QUIZ SHEETS – These are now available from Waterman’s, Spar, The Fish Piper, Central Garage and committee members and priced at £1.50 each (which includes marking and returning them to you). The closing date is 20th March, so don’t delay, get yours today!

EASTER FAIR
– Sunday 24th April at Porter’s Barn – A great day for all the family to come along and have fun together. With lots to do for everyone of all ages.
Treasure Hunt Board Game – Raffle – Cake Raffle – Cake Stall – Bric-a-Brac – Refreshments and much more.
If you are able to make a cake or donate anything for the raffle, a prize for any of the games or some bric-a-brac, we would be extremely grateful if you could get in touch. Full details of this event will be published next month.

ARE YOU HAVING A CLEAR OUT?
– We are in need of bric-a-brac, books, jigsaw puzzles, small items of furniture and any unwanted gifts which we can sell for our funds or use as prizes.  Please get it touch if you have large items/quantities you would like us to collect.

FELTWELL VILLAGE YARD SALE DAY – 9th JULY 2011 – Here we go again!  Start collecting stuff up now if you want to hold a sale.  Registration forms will be available from early May – watch this space.

CRAFT FAIR – SUNDAY 25th SEPTEMBER
– Preparations are now underway for this and we are looking for stallholders.  If you are interested please contact Susan Withers on 01842 827758 for further details on what we are looking for and costs.

PRIVATE TOWER TOURS – Why not treat your friends and family to a private tour of St. Mary’s tower.  For just £25 for a maximum of eight people you will be able to see the bells, clock and the fantastic 360o views from the top of the tower at a time to suit you. For insurance purposes the minimum age of visitors is twelve and sensible shoes must be worn as there is a short ladder to climb at the very top. For more details, to book your tour phone Barrie and Jackie on 01842 828770.

BUY A DATE IN OUR DIARY
– Following the success of last years diary we have just kicked off the diary for 2011.  Buy a date for £1.00 and when the diary is full (hopefully before Easter!) we will pick three winning dates. 1st prize - £50, 2nd prize - £25 and 3rd prize - £15.  If you would like to take the diary to pass around your friends and family or work colleagues you are more then welcome to do so, just get in touch.

PENNY JARS
– These are still coming in so thick and fast they appear to be taking over our Chairman’s life!  Being a prolific sleepwalker she was recently found wandering in her sleep ‘looking for penny jars’!  However, her long-suffering other half was somewhat relieved as the last time she was asked what she was looking for in her sleep the rather worrying reply was ‘the box of knives’!!  Despite her rather bizarre antics she is still quite happy to keep receiving them so please don’t stop!

FUNDRAISING MERCHANDISE
– Eco bags, tea towels and large blank cards featuring St. Mary’s are still available.  If you would like to make a purchase please pop into St. Mary’s.
